The famous arch of UGA After years of trying, I became finally set for a prolonged stay in a country that I have alternately admired, been inspired and have been disappointed by for several years - ths United States of America. Earlier in 2003, I was accepted for a 2-years Master's programme in American History at the University of Georgia at Athens.

It was a long time coming - I was been shuttling back and forth so long between Singapore and the US it had practically become a second home anyway. And the Atlanta metropolitan area was not only populated extensively by good friends, but the South was a lot more laid back and easy-going. I spent a month there in 2002 and fell in love with it completely.

So I packed up my bags and started Terence Chua, Book Three (collector's item issue one due out end July 2003 with chromium cover - pre-order today!), and to see where that took me. New country, but old friends that I could spend more time with, and doing a course of study that I actually enjoyed. To say I was excited would be an understatement.
